HTTG’s Active Threat Interdiction Instructor course is a 4-day program designed to equip law enforcement officers with the skills and strategies to effectively respond to active threat incidents in various environments — and teach the material back to their agency.
By training officers to respond effectively in crowded areas, open stadiums, parking lots, and structures, the course addresses the evolving nature of threats and the need for adaptability. Officers leave with a manual, lesson plans, drills, and a certificate of completion.
The Active Threat Interdiction Instructor course is a 4-day program that begins with a brief lecture highlighting the distinctions between HTTG’s Active Threat Interdiction strategy and traditional training approaches. Following the lecture, the course emphasizes hands-on instruction to ensure the practical application of the tactics taught.
To enhance the realism of the training, the course incorporates multiple contact drills, force-on-force exercises in stadium and large venue environments, scenario simulations, post-engagement exercises, and live-fire range practice.
Officers who complete this course return to their agencies equipped to build active threat response capability in their colleagues — closing the gap between range qualification and real-world performance.
