HTTG Law Enforcement Basic Sniper Certification equips officers with the foundational skills and tactical knowledge needed to operate effectively in high-threat environments. HTTG’s sniper program prepares law enforcement officers for high-stakes missions with training in marksmanship, ballistics, observation, long-range shooting, building positions, and low-light deployment. This intensive course ensures proficiency with sniper rifles and optics in diverse conditions and scenarios.

Designed for law enforcement officers assigned to or seeking placement on sniper and tactical teams. The Basic Sniper course trains students to make precision shots from unconventional positions using tripods out to 400 yards while covering stable firing positions, hide site selection, observation techniques, and ballistic performance. Students leave with a Basic Sniper Certification and the ability to effectively integrate back into their agency with improved precision, confidence, and operational capability.

This course is designed for law enforcement officers assigned to or seeking placement on sniper, SWAT, and tactical teams.

The course runs five days from 0800–1700. On Day 3, students will report later in the evening for low-light and nighttime shooting training. Students will have a 50-minute lunch break each day; bringing a packed lunch and remaining on site is recommended.

Yes. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a Basic Sniper Certification. Student need to pass qualification standards. 

No prior sniper experience is required; however, students should have a solid understanding of firearms safety and basic rifle marksmanship fundamentals.
