Training Overview

The modern-day sniper’s role now extends to any mission requiring precision in any environment — securing arenas, stadiums, large outdoor venues, engaging at longer distances, deploying against heavily armed attackers, and conducting night operations. As missions evolve from basic prone bipod shooting to ultra-stable tripod platforms for superior precision, advanced sniper training is essential.

This 3-day course is designed to take precision shots from unconventional positions utilizing tripods out to 400 yards. Students will learn to build a stable final firing position when deploying a tripod, barricade, or unconventional support. Officers will learn the criteria for selecting and building a hide site and fire from various hides and positions. Students will learn their ballistic performance and the limitations of their duty ammunition. Upon completion, students must successfully pass the qualification.
