Description
This two-day training course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of undercover narcotics operations related to undercover officer (UC) and confidential informant (CI) rescue operations. The course places a strong emphasis on high-risk situations involving agents inside vehicles while also addressing open-air operational environments.
Training incorporates real-world case studies, supporting documentation, mission planning, and risk mitigation strategies. Students will learn personnel selection considerations, common operational language, and equipment requirements necessary to establish effective rescue and cover team elements.
Participants will develop the tactics, techniques, and procedures needed to conduct vehicle assaults and rescue operations involving undercover personnel in high-threat situations. The course includes extensive scenario-based and force-on-force training designed to improve decision-making, communication, and operational effectiveness.

- Identifying pre-robbery and assault indicators
- Analyzing likely mission outcomes and threat indicators
- Mission planning, personnel selection, and equipment requirements
- Vehicle assault tactics and rescue procedures for UC/CI operations
- Earning the shot principles and avoiding friendly fire
- Tactics for violent extremist encounters
- Developing key operational language for rescue missions
- Teamwork and communication during high-risk operations
- Undercover vehicle preparation and site selection
Student Requirements
- Plate carrier or ballistic vest
- Pistol and rifle with chamber blocker
- 100 rounds of Simunition® ammunition (50 rounds each platform)
- Eye protection and hearing protection
- Both concealed and duty holsters for pistol
- Long-sleeve shirt
- PPE including head, neck, and groin protection
- Radio with microphone and earpiece
- Cover garments such as flannel or jacket
